Synopsis
The Road to Love, the Road to Hell
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
HADESTOWN: TEEN EDITION is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Corp. www.concordtheatricals.com

Partnering to Create a Better World for Our Unhoused LGBTQ+ Youth
Hadestown touches into themes of homelessness, poverty and the unwavering power of hope. In our productions, we want to connect these powerful stories on stage to the realities within the world and our own community. In that spirit, we’re partnering with Lost and Found Youth – an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that provides services to LGBTQ+ Youth experiencing homelessness. For more information visit LnFY.org
The cast, crew, and families of Hadestown: Teen Edition will be volunteering, making goods donations, and raising funds for the organization as well as gaining important educational information about the challeges these youths face.
