"Give'em the old Razzle Dazzle; Razzle Dazzle 'em. Give 'em an act with lots of flash in it, and the reaction will be passionate." --Chicago
Emily Nichols has been performing for as long as she can remember. At the age of nine, she auditioned for a local community theatre production of Annie and found her passion. Originally from Indiana, Emily studied theatre and music at Indiana University and earned her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. After graduating college, Emily moved to Chicago and was serendipitously cast in a production of The Triumph of Love where she met her husband, Joss.
In 2004, Emily received her M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University. There her creativity truly blossomed, and she has been happily teaching and directing youth productions ever since. Before moving to Georgia, Emily taught Drama for seven years at Norwood School in Bethesda, Maryland, where she directed more than 23 middle school productions and taught classes in Acting, Improvisation, and Visual Storytelling. Emily is thrilled to be teaching Drama at Beacon Hill Middle School and looks forward to directing its talented middle school students in many successful productions.
